Refund Policy – Zornglas Surfboards
1. Scope
This refund policy applies to all purchases made online on the Zornglas Surfboards website, in the capacity of a business selling to consumers as defined by the French Consumer Code and applicable European Union regulations.
2. Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code and the applicable European directive, you have 14 calendar days to exercise your right of withdrawal without having to provide a reason or pay a penalty.
The period begins the day after you receive the item.
The right of withdrawal also applies to distance purchases, even for sellers located in the EU.
3. Exceptions to Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal cannot be exercised in certain cases, including:
- If the surfboard was custom-made or personalized at your specific request.
- If a garment or accessory has been significantly personalized (e.g., embroidered with your name).
- If the product has been used and can no longer be restored to new condition.
4. How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal
To exercise your right:
Notify us of your decision by mail or email, including your name, address, the order in question, and the date of receipt.
Return the product within 14 days of notifying us of your decision. You are responsible for return shipping costs, unless otherwise specified or in the absence of prior notice. The item must be returned in its original condition, unused, with any accessories, tags, and original packaging.
5. Refund
Upon receipt and inspection of the product, or upon receipt of proof of shipment provided by the consumer, we will issue a refund for the full amount paid (including the initial shipping costs) within a maximum of 14 days.
The refund will be issued via the same payment method used at the time of purchase, unless the consumer expressly agrees otherwise.
In the event of product depreciation due to handling beyond what is necessary to determine its nature or functionality, a deduction may be applied.
6. Exchanges or Store Credit
An item may be exchanged provided it is defective or damaged.
If you would like to exchange an item for the same product, please contact us to check product availability.
In some cases, a store credit may be issued instead of a refund, subject to prior agreement.
7. Defective or Non-Conforming Products
You are entitled to the legal warranties provided for by the Consumer Code and European Union law.
If a product is defective or non-conforming, please contact us immediately with a photo(s) and a description of the defect to arrange for an exchange or refund.
8. Specific Terms for Zornglas Surfboards
For custom-made, handcrafted surfboards: the right of withdrawal may be excluded (see Section 3).
Sale items: exchanges or store credit are possible, but a full refund is not always guaranteed. Round-trip shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, except for products delivered in error or that are defective. Pre-ordered items are neither exchangeable nor refundable. If you return a discounted item, you will receive the amount of the returned item in the form of a store credit.
